Message from the President

For over 100 years, Zonta has been a voice for women world-wide.  The mission of Zonta is to empower women in all stages of life through service and advocacy.  We are excited for all of the wonderful support we have provided to our community as well as the recognition that has been given to our club from peers, community leaders, media, and more.

Trish Leonard
President 2019-2021

Thank you to the Members of the Month from August - November, 2019 for your dedication and hardwork.

Zontians in Action

With the support of the community, we collected over a 1,000 lbs of donations to be sent to the Bahama's to help with the relief of hurricane Dorian.  We are extremely grateful for all of those who donated, and to Best Moving and Storage who donated space to store the donations and donated boxes for shipping, Gulfshore Church who delivered all of the donations to the east coast to be shipped down to the Bahamas, the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce who donated their conference room for us to package the donations for shipping, and to all of the business that offered their offices as drop off locations: LivingWell Chiropractic, FASTSIGNS of Bonita Springs, and TLC Marketing & Creative Services, Inc.
On November 20th, the Mayor of the City of Bonita Springs, Peter Simmons, presented the Zonta Club of Bonita Springs - Estero with a proclamation for our efforts in the Campaign of "Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women."
Eleven Zonta members, a 2019 scholarship recipient, Olivia Harper, and past Woman of the Year, Nancy Near, volunteered at the Meals of Hope Packing for a Purpose meal packing event.  Our team packed 569 meals of macaroni and cheese in just over an hour! The meals will be distributed by the Bonita Springs Assistance Office.
